Lt. David Lopez-Arocho
Lieutenant David Lopez-Arocho joined Lee County Sheriff’s Office on January 2nd, 2008, as a Corrections Deputy. Throughout his years of service, he has held various positions within the Corrections Bureau. He joined the Correctional Emergency Response Team (CERT) in 2013 and currently serves as Assistant Team Commander. Having a passion for training and helping others, he has worked in our Training Division, becoming a certified trainer and responsible for our agency’s armory. Now, as a Lieutenant, he oversees certain operations within the corrections bureau, including the shakedown team, which ensures the security and safety of our Correctional facilities, as well as overseeing the Cell Dog Program.
In recognition of his dedication, nobility, and a lifelong passion for serving, Lt. Lopez-Arocho was twice named Deputy of the Quarter and was also awarded The Samaritan award.
